Stable Management
Program

Handi Kids’ Stable Management Program empowers young adults with minor physical or cognitive disabilities to learn a trade in an adapted, supportive environment. Often this population is unable to attend college, or denied admission to vocational schools, making job placement a difficult task when they finish high school.

Our Barn Helper Certificate enables students to seek employment in the growing field of Barn Management. Attendees are taught the daily chores at a barn/stable, how to care for horses and livestock, how to adapt to a new environment and how to present themselves in a responsible way. Our instructors also assist graduates with their job search.

Handi Kids plans to expand the Stable Management Program in the coming years to include gardening, woodworking, maintenance and landscaping.
